Do I need an SIA licence to register?

For most frontline roles, yes — it is a legal requirement under the Private Security Industry Act 2001, and we cannot deploy you without one. But you do not need one to register your interest. If you are partway through training or have applied for your licence, tell us where you are in the process. We would rather hear from you early than miss you.

How do I get an SIA licence?

Complete an approved SIA training course for the role you want, pass identity and criminal record checks, then apply through the official SIA process. A licence usually lasts three years. Different roles need different licence types, so check which one your intended role requires before you book a course.

What screening will I go through?

Successful applicants are screened to BS 7858, the British Standard for security personnel vetting. That covers identity, right to work, employment history and criminal record checks. We will tell you exactly what documents we need and why before we ask for anything.

What happens after I register my interest?

Your details land with our recruitment team directly. We are not advertising vacancies at the moment, so we will hold your details on file and contact you as soon as a role opens that matches what you do. When that happens we will call you first to talk it through. You can ask us to remove your details at any time.

Can I register if I have no security experience?

If you hold a valid SIA licence but have limited on-site experience, register anyway and be honest about it on the form. Some of our roles suit newly licensed officers and we would rather place you correctly than set you up to struggle.

Do you offer part-time or flexible work?

Yes. Alongside full-time contracts we run relief and cover shifts on a flexible basis, which suits people who want variety or are fitting work around other commitments. Tell us your availability on the form and we will bear it in mind.
